TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 These terms and conditions govern the membership of The London Collective ("the Organisation") and the participation in its events and activities.
1.2 By applying for membership and making payment, the member ("the Member") agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Membership benefits vary by tier. Specific details of each membership tier are set out in the Membership Appendix, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
1.4 Access to ad hoc events, strategy days and other events will either be included or chargeable depending on your membership tier.
1.5. Access to additional event and day tickets outside of the quarterly evening events will be sent by priority depending on your membership tier.

2. MEMBERSHIP TERMS
2.1 Membership is available to individuals and organisations wishing to participate in The London Collective's networking events and activities.
2.2 Membership is for a minimum term of 12 months from the date of acceptance.
2.3 The Member may choose to pay either:
         a) Monthly – by recurring card payment, or
         b) Annually – as an upfront payment.
2.4 After the initial 12-month period, membership will automatically renew on a rolling 30-day basis, unless the Member provides 30 days’ written notice to cancel.
2.5 The Organisation reserves the right to amend membership benefits and fees. Any changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice prior to renewal.

3. MEMBER OBLIGATIONS

3.1 Members agree to:

a) Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all events.
b) Not engage in any behaviour that could harm the reputation of The London Collective or its members.
c) Comply with all venue and event-specific rules.
d) RSVP for events in advance (at least 2 weeks notice) to guarantee a ticket.
e) Use the directory for connecting with other members only. Use of the directory for spamming, mass solicitation, or data scraping is strictly prohibited.
3.2 The Organisation reserves the right to terminate membership without refund if a Member is found to be in breach of these Terms.

4. EVENT ATTENDANCE
4.1 Membership grants access to events as per the Member’s tier (either inclusive or chargeable).
4.2 Corporate Members may nominate any individual from their organisation to attend events on their behalf. Other tiers are non-transferable.
4.3 Members must confirm attendance in advance. If a Member confirms attendance and fails to attend without providing at least two weeks’ notice, this will be considered a breach of membership obligations. If this occurs more than once, the Organisation reserves the right to terminate membership without refund.
4.4 Members who are unable to attend an event may not send a replacement attendee unless they are a Corporate Member.
4.5 Members acknowledge that events may be filmed and photographed, and that their image, voice, and name may be used in promotional material by The London Collective.

5. DATA SHARING AND PRIVACY
5.1 By becoming a Member, you agree that your name, business details, and contact information may be shared with other attendees, members, and sponsors for networking and collaboration purposes including our online members directory.

5.2 The Organisation complies with UK GDPR and relevant data protection laws.
Members' personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be accessed on our website.
5.3 Members may request to opt out of data sharing by contacting info@thelondoncollective.com, but this may limit certain networking opportunities and benefits.

5.4 The Organisation will not sell or distribute personal data to third parties outside of event attendees, members, and sponsors without prior consent.

6. LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMERS
6.1 The Organisation will make reasonable efforts to deliver the membership benefits but does not guarantee specific results or outcomes from participation.

6.2 The Organisation is not responsible for any business dealings, contracts, or transactions that Members enter into as a result of networking through The London Collective.
6.3 The Organisation shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss incurred at any event, except where caused by negligence of The London Collective.
6.4 Members are responsible for their own personal and professional security when attending events or networking with other members.

7. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
7.1 Members may cancel their membership after the initial 12-month period by providing 30 days’ written notice to info@thelondoncollective.com.
7.2 Refunds will not be provided for any membership fees already paid.
7.3 If a Member cancels before the end of their initial 12-month period, they remain liable for the full 12-month membership fee.
7.4 The Organisation reserves the right to cancel or suspend a membership without refund in cases of misconduct, breach of terms, or actions that damage the Organisation’s reputation.

8. GENERAL TERMS
8.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
8.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
8.3 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
By applying for and making payment for membership, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
